TÜRK-İŞ Public Sector Collective Bargaining Update (June 2025)

10 June 2025

The Coordination Board for Public Sector Collective Bargaining Agreements under TÜRK-İŞ submitted its proposal for the Public Framework Protocol on Collective Agreements to the Ministry of Labor and Social Security on February 27, 2025. However, no response has been received from the Ministry so far.

In response to this, a meeting was held at the TÜRK-İŞ Headquarters on Monday, June 2, 2025, followed by a press statement at 11:30 AM.

The press conference was attended by TÜRK-İŞ Deputy Chairpersons Ramazan Ağar and Eyüp Alemdar, Deputy Chairpersons and executives from the HAK-İŞ Confederation, members of the TÜRK-İŞ Public Sector Collective Bargaining Coordination Board, presidents and executives of TÜRK-İŞ-affiliated unions, branch presidents, and numerous workers.

Significance of the Development

This development is significant as it highlights the uncertainties faced by public sector workers in the collective bargaining process and underscores the expectations of unions in the negotiations. It also exemplifies the importance of protecting public employees' rights, conducting transparent bargaining processes, and strengthening social dialogue within the framework of labor law.
